They felt that the challenges of caring for her and her expected newborns were too great. Upon her arrival at the rescue organization, Pixie gave birth to four precious puppies. However, in a heartbreaking turn of events, all the puppies succumbed to Fading Puppy Syndrome just hours after birth. It was a devastating loss for Pixie, but she showed incredible strength and resilience, quickly recovering from the trauma of both her street life and the loss of her babies. Today, she is thriving in the care of her loving foster mom and dad in Lakewood, California, where she is finally experiencing the warmth and comfort of a true home. With her spay appointment scheduled for October 16th, Pixie is on the verge of a new chapter in her life. Following her recovery, she will be available for adoption just a few days later, and the excitement within the organization is palpable.
