About Calvin

Need to rehome this sweet, healthy, intelligent border collie. He is 4 years old and about 55 lbs. He came from a herding farm in Southern washington as a puppy. He is very affectionate, loving and goofy. He is pretty calm and sleeps a lot of the day, but has energy to run when given the opportunity. He is obedient and eager to please humans. He loves fetch, swimming, belly rubs, and giving kisses. He does have a history of nipping, nothing serious. He is protective of the house and will occasionally nip a new stranger who enters the house if they are not introduced to him properly. He does great with people once he is more comfortable with them, and has not nipped a stranger who has tried to pet him away from the home. He also has a tendency to nip things that move fast, so a home without small children is a must. He would be a great dog for a farm, or if someone wants to train a dog to herd cattle or sheep. His father was a sheep herder and Calvin would be fantastic at this job. He would also be a lovely companion for someone who doesnt often have visitors over to their house.
