Please check you junk/spam folder if you inquire about a rabbit and do not see a reply. INDOOR ONLY HOMES, PLEASE! Jessica (orange and white dutch female) was transferred to the rescue from the shelter in El Centro, California. She was originally rescued from Mexico! Jess (black male) was personally rescued by moi as a baby bun. His mom gave birth to him in the bushes in front of a church in Wilmington. The pair was bonded and adopted in the spring of 2021. Unfortunately, they were returned (no fault of their own) one year later. So, here they sit, another bonded pair, returned, and only dreaming of a miracle to be re-adopted (rare). Could you be this duos' savior a second time around? They love their IKEA doll bed as you can see. They are pretty good with their litter box habits. They're docile and easy-going. They were free roam in their prior home so they feel a bit crowded in a pen, by comparison. Can you give these buns a fresh start in life? It's a miracle both are alive considering where they both came from. Jessica and Jess should start out living in an exercise pen (x-pen) otherwise known as a puppy pen. They can have that as their home base or transition to a room or a section of a room or free roaming. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is open and an x-pen can be placed around it. Rabbits are a 10+ year commitment. Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit. Jessica and Jess can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information. PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you've never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies! If you are seeking a rabbit as a companion for your existing rabbit, your rabbit should be spayed/neutered. Male/female bondings are usually recommended.
