About Kya

Kya is a sweet affectionate 2 year old Aussie that needs a home with a yard to run and time to give her plenty of attention. She is house trained and crate trained though she does not like to be alone for long. She has always slept with someone, only in the crate when we are not home. She is a natural herding dog so she will nip at kids running past her, it's never aggressive. We rescued her from being an outside dog with the intention of find her a forever home but time has flown by and we have had her for a year and a half now. We wanted to make sure she found the perfect home so we have turn a few interested families away due to now being able to provide a better life than we can but we want her to thrive in life not be cooped up in our 16x30 yard and our schedules do not allow enough time to take her out to parks or long walks. She has always gotten along with every animal she has encountered, though timid at first to animals and people she just wants love and attention from anyone who will give it. She does bark when people come to our home, even us still sometimes until she realizes it's safe. She would be perfect for a young active person or couple looking for a true companion.
