About Oscar

I am looking to rehome my 2 year old miniature schnauzer. I went through a divorce last year and have recently moved. I simply do not have the time for Oscar. He has become very protective of me (I am 'his' person). If I try to hug others or am loud/silly he will try to interfere and has bitten/snipped at others. However, when I am not around these behaviors are non-existent. Screaming kids/lots of chaos are not the best environment for him. He would do well in a home with older children or no children. Someone who has time to train him properly (make sure he doesn't 'claim' anyone as his own). Very food motivated. He does have allergies to outdoors. I give him allergy medicine each morning ($50/month). He has been great with my cats. I've seen him with large dogs and he does great with them-not sure about small dogs.
