About Cotton

Cotton is an amazing 4 year old male. Cotton came to us when he was 3 months old where he very quickly grew 5lbs every week until he was a year old. Due to his rapid growth he developed Arthritis & Hip Dysplasia that flares up when he oberworks himself or plays too hard. His pain is easily managed with Arthritis medication or CBD treats when the pain gets a little too much. He is a very loving boy but during his moment of pain he can be cranky. Cotton gives a warning growl not to touch him during those moments & if his growls are ignored he does snip at the person touching him. Unfortunately we have a 1 year old baby girl & two 3 year old boys in our house as well & they children are not yet at the point of understanding why they need boundaries with Cotton. We have tried for months to make the kids understand they cannot climb on Cotton or play with him like they do the other dogs but they just don't understand why. We can no longer risk the children getting bit by him. We cannot separate the kids from Cotton as the house has 3 bedrooms but only 1 bedroom has a door while the rest of the house is very open. Cotton is good with cats as we have had them before & we currently live with 6 other dogs of different breeds & temperaments. Please give Cotton a chance he really does deserve it
