Bear is an adventurous 11-month-old copper Siberian Husky, rescued at just 5.5 weeks old from a box at Haynes Park in the fall of 2023. She's a friendly and submissive dog who, despite being skittish around new dogs, warms up quickly and becomes playful after about 20 minutes. Bear is non-aggressive and rarely barks, except when left alone for long periods. She's decent on a leash and knows commands like sit, shake, and lay down. Bear is crate trained and loves playing fetch and enjoys running around during hikes in the mountains and at the Mesa, often roaming nearby before returning. Bear is great with kids of all ages, though she has yet to meet a cat. Her playful nature includes digging, chewing, and burying things, and she has a tendency to explore if given the chance, but she always comes back home. While we didn't plan to become a dog family, we felt drawn to her when we found her. Unfortunately, our busy lives with three kids involved in various sports mean she often spends too much time alone. Bear eats Blue Buffalo dog food with bone broth and thrives on walks and playtime with her toys. She is a happy dog looking for a loving home that can provide her with the attention and companionship she deserves.
