About MAREEN

Mareen is a shy and nervous girl, but she also adores people and affection. She loves neck scratches and will talk to you when she wants attention, which is often, because she would like for you to pet her for hours on end if possible! Mareen needs encouragement to come out of her shell and explore new things, but once she trusts you she is affectionate and willing to adventure. She can sometimes hiss when she is nervous, but some gentle words of reassurance and the occasional wet treat will have her eating out of your hand (literally!). She is unsure about other cats, so we may recommend a home without them or with a cat that will give her space. She has not been around small children or cat friendly dogs. She probably would do best in a home with no small children, but she may do well around older children and cat friendly dogs that give her space.
