About Dino

This post is going out with a Hail Mary for Dino , he has spend over 600 days almost 2 years in the shelter . I am looking for that diamond in the rough that has no other animals and just wants a loving sweet companion . Dino deserves a forever home and for somebody to give him a chance . He needs a patient and understanding soul that will allow him to warm up in his own time , he has a few favorite staff at the shelter and is amazing with them . There is no reason why Dino has been in the shelter this long and I am trying to advocate for him. Please if you have no other animals , please say Yes to Dino , he is so depressed being in doggy jail . He only gets out a few mins a day and really needs a better life where you both can shine . I am a male, black and brown Terrier mix. Age: The shelter staff think I am about 3 years old. More Info: I have been at the shelter since Jan 31, 2023. On a cold January evening, this pint-sized pup (44 pounds) arrived to the shelter. Scared and very unsure of what to make of shelter life, we watched as Dino, secure only when he laid in the back of his kennel tucked in a blanket and as far away from the world. We can only imagine what hard life he led prior to coming here. Dino is a nervous dog, he will need an experienced adult-only home; where he is allowed to decompress and come around on his terms. He isn't going to allow anyone to touch him right away, until he decides he can trust you. Since his arrival, Dino has been learning to trust, he now has a few best friends here that he has allowed himself to really open up! He is leash savvy, and already knows 'Sit, down, Paw, stay and Come on command.' With Positive reinforcement and savvy owners we know Dino will continue to thrive. He really wants to please his people, he listens to his handler and watches for what is being asked. Dino has really come around, we are so excited for him! He is allowing himself to be pet on the back, belly and head, we know there is a family out there, who will love to continue working with him and including Dino to their family!
