About Peanut

This young man has been given the name 'Peanut'... probably because he has confidence the size of one :| Peanut was originally spotted on 9/14 next to the soccer fields of McBride High School and posted on Nextdoor by neighbors in the area. Somehow, a day later he was picked up near Alamitos Beach by a resident and taken to Long Beach Animal Care Services. Given Peanut's scared & nervous disposition he may likely have been picked up when originally found and got lose from the person (or ran 9 miles down Los Coyotes within a 24 hour period). Regardless, Peanut is not showing signs of being able to adjust to chaotic life in #DoggyJail any time soon :( While you can interact with the young man, once out of kennel Peanut just wants to run away in a near panic from anything related to the shelter & all the dogs there.
