About Cookie

Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Natick, MA Meet Cookie! He is an 1 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 50 lbs. He is up to date on shots, but isn't neutered or on heartworm prevention. Cookie is nervous around strangers! No children, cats or dogs, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate-trained. He resource guards some items. Cookie is very smart! He loves to play and go for walks! Cookie bit the owner's son when he was a puppy. Her son was trying to take toilet paper away from Cookie when it happened. He has bitten the owner when she has tried putting his leash on or taking it off of him. Cookie has bitten the owner while he was startled waking up from sleep. He has also bitten the owner's husband on several occasions. He needs to be muzzled when he sees the veterinarian. The owner is surrendering him because of his bite incidents and being unpredictable. He is also reactive towards strangers, cars, and other dogs. They have worked with a trainer, but he hasn't improved. He needs to go ASAP! There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Cookie.
