About Reid

URGENT!! FOSTER or Adopter needed immediately for young Great Dane mix REID! Reid is a tall/lanky and lean, apx 50-55 lb. Great Dane mix (or possibly Whippet/Greyhound mix) who was saved from euthanasia at an overcrowded shelter and went to a foster home where unfortunately he must move immediately due to family member being *severely* allergic. Reid is a sweet young boy just about a year old who is dog-friendly (and would benefit from being in a home where he has a playmate to socialize and engage in physical play), he's fine around kids of all ages, walks great on leash, not a big barker, crate-trained, and LOVES car rides. Because he is still young and very puppy-like, he does exhibit those puppy behaviors, such as being jumpy/mouthy (which is why he will benefit from having another dog to teach him proper dog manners). We have additional videos of him with kids and other dogs that we can text to you also. If we cannot find a foster or adoptive home, he will be forced to go to boarding which is mentally and physically detrimental for an active young puppy to go (and to him, that's no different than the scary shelter he came from).
