About Sparkles

Sparkles is definitely the spunkiest of the three siblings and isn't afraid to let someone know when he doesn't want something, usually by hissing and trying to run away. However, once you catch him and he realized that he is getting pet, he usually settles down, unless you happen to make eye contact with him, then he hisses again to let you know that he's only letting this happen but he's not thrilled about it. He is however, thrilled to play with and chase toys around the room, so that's how we've been trying to win him over, balancing the cuddling time with the playtime and he's already come a long way from the scared hissy baby he was when he came to us a few weeks ago. He and his siblings had been caught with his mom and aunt, outside an empty house where they had been all alone. Because of this, they're going to need a family who's willing to give them a chance to warm up to them, but is also going to be insistent on spending time with them and not letting the kittens hide from them. We think Sparkles and his brothers are about 3 months old, so they aren't quite ready to go home just yet, but they will be as soon as they're neutered. We're hoping that by mid-october they'll be ready to go to their forever homes and would love to have those homes lined up beforehand. We would love for the brothers to be adopted together, but if that's not possible, we are looking to place them in homes with other cats. Sparkles and his siblings will be neutered, microchipped, and up to date on their vaccinations by the time they're ready to go home, so if you want to be considered to be their forever home, the time to apply is now! We don't have any set adoption fees, but do ask that a donation be made at the time of adoption, and for Sparkles we are asking for a donation of $250.
