About Murphy

Rehoming this amazing dog! Murphy is a handsome 75 lb mutt (red lab mix) and he's 2-4 years old. He's neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, heartworm negative and on preventative meds. He is a very happy and loving red mutt! He has a sweet, calm, noble temperament but also absolutely loves to play, run, and goof off! He loves his toys and especially a good ball! He loves people! He's good with kids (we have had him around kids 6yrs+) but he is large and gets excited at first. He's food motivated and has done very well with training! He needs a home without a cat (which is why we have to rehome him). He gets along with some dogs. Behaviors we are working on Walking with a loose leash. He barks at and pulls at trucks driving by. Asking to go outside (he is 100% housebroken if kept from going into the basement unsupervised.) Checking the kitchen counter for food, going through uncovered trash cans. (He's making very good progress!) Crate training at night. He whines some at night but then calms down. Please let us know if you have a home or rescue foster home for this sweet dog! We will check on the home he goes to and will require a rehoming fee to make sure he's going to a good home! (fee waived for foster rescue!)
