Australian Cattle Dog / Siberian Husky

3 y.o on 10.03.24 This is really difficult for me to share but I must find a new home for my sweet girl here. Boba is a sweet and loyal dog with a lot of personality. Originally thought to be a Husky/Lab mix, she's likely a Cattle Dog mix and will need a DNA test in the future to verify that. She's a bundle of energy who needs a job to keep her busy! As a high-anxiety, high-stress dog, having a job is the best way to keep her relaxed and obedient. Despite being crate trained, Boba loves to play and requires plenty of space to run around. She thrives on interaction, whether it's with people or other pets. At the park, she's friendly with other dogs, but her territorial instincts have grown stronger as she's aged. She can be protective of her people, toys, and food. She's ran into some issue with alpha female dogs but typically submisses. Small dogs and babies aren't ideal for her either-she tends to herd or be a bit too rough with little dogs, and we're not sure how she'd react to babies or other small animals, so it's best to play it safe. Ideally, I would want to pair her with a young, energetic, llarge male dogs and/or very active/attentive owners for her physical and mental health. Due to her breeds, she tends to be pretty vocal. Additionally, she sheds a lot, and still gets the zoomies despite her size (which is more medium as she is only 45lbs.) She needs a home that can handle her energetic and sometimes unpredictable nature. She enjoys cuddling, but only in short bursts and can easily be distracted. Boba is picky about her food and how she's petted, which can be off putting for someone who is looking to bond in these ways. She NEEDS patience, consistency, and loads of attention & play time to live a fullfilling life. She likes to bond through play and work so if you can get that down, she will be your best friend, as she has been mine these past few years. Additionally, Boba is definitely some type of herding breed. Despite not knowing what she is exactly, her behavior and appearance hint strongly towards that. She needs people who will take her seriously and give her a job. This is a huge reason I am asking for a large rehoming fee. *NOTE* if you are looking for a dog you only need to take on a short (10-20 minute) walk a couple times a day, please be courteous of my time and your own, and continue your search elsewhere. Message me for more details or with any questions. I will be going through a very in depth screening including a rehoming fee.
