Dierks was my first dog and has always been a wonderful, loved family pet. He lives alongside another female Catahoula named Kimber. I would love to see both dogs go together as they have never been separated. They have lived on secluded property which they have had free range. Very little association with foreign dogs besides each other. Both very dominant towards unknown dogs. Protective and cautious around uninvited strangers. Socializing with other dogs may be possible if done under very close and attentive supervision. Lightly leash trained. My current job position requires very long hours and have just introduced a newborn into my family. I am not able to give them the attention and life that they deserve. Would love to see them go to a home with room to roam freely without distractions. Training collars used just for the 'beep' tone which they respond very promptly to.
