Arlo is a 1.5 yr old Retriever/ Plott Hound Mix. He recently weighed at 30.6lbs. Arlo was found dying in the middle of the highway, starving and emaciated. When rescued he wasn't able to eat or drink due to intestinal obstruction. He recently had an abdominal exploratory surgery (Aug 25th) for a foreign body obstruction. The surgery was sucessful and Arlo is recovering very well. He is heartworm and parvo negative. He recently had a post operation check-up (Sept 16th) and deemed pretty healthy and received several vacines: Rabies, DA2PP, and Bordetella. He is not yet neutered but working on that. He is a high energy playful dog. He requires constant exercise. He walks with a leash. Crate trained. Arlo is pretty much house trained but may have accidents in the home if left for too many hours and not taken out in a timely manner. He require more frequent potty breaks given his young age. He comes across shy at first but warm up very quickly. He is very attached to his foster person and followings them all around the home. He also follow around the foster's older dog and mimics her resting spots. He appears to do better with another dog's company. He presents with a more docile demeanor rather than alpha tendencies. He scarf down his food but doesn't steal from the other dog. He haven't had any negative interactions with children.
