In foster in Tumwater, WA TONI is a 1-1/2 yr old female Dachshund mix�'�| mixed with a Terrier best guess. Estimated DOB is 2/1/2023. She weighs 20#. Gets along with all our other dogs and loves to play with them no matter what size. She is not timid or shy. She will announce strangers but warms up to them quickly. We are working on house training. She rides well in the car and is okay on the leash. She's learning new things every day. She came to us from a good Samaritan who found her trying to save her puppies from a neighborhood un-neutered male Husky that was trying to kill the pups. Four pups of the 8 were saved along with her. She will make a great dog for a couple or single person. I would only put her around children that are older and know how to treat a small-breed dog. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. HOW ABOUT FOSTERING! If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering.
