Please reach out for questions or schedule a visit! Ladybird! (Also Answers to: Ladybirb, Scoober, Dingus, lil Sh**, lil pupper, Perro, Donut doggo, Girlie) Ladybird has been my best friend for five and a half years. I am soon leaving for Doctors Without Borders for a year long assignment and unfortunately cannot take her abroad with me. I expect to go on subsequent missions after the first so I am looking for her forever home. Leaving for an assignment and re-homing Ladybird is honestly one of the hardest things I have ever done. I am looking very hard for a home that will provide the very best for this amazing little dog. I am deeply committed to this dingus and making sure that she finds a wonderful home where she will be loved and where someone will appreciate how much love she has to give. Ladybird is incredibly sweet and very intelligent! She loves to cuddle, go on walks, and play in the snow. She hates fireworks, lightning, and rain. The vast majority of the time she is very lazy (beyond managing household security) and does not require an abundance of exercise, but she can hang on longer hikes and even carrries her own pack without complaint. She has undergone fairly extensive training and knows how to sit, stay, come when called, go to her designated place (her bed), 'wait', 'leave it', lay down, roll over, spin, shake paws, fist bump, and probably a few more that I forget. She is incredibly intelligent and quick to learn if you have anything else that you want her to know. FAQ: -- She weights around 50lbs but is very dense/ small. -- I don't think she will do well in a home that has other dogs. She is protective of her owners with other dogs and it would be best to keep her separate. I know with the right training she will be less reactively protective with other dogs but I have not personally been successful. -- She does go to boarding with other dogs and does fine! -- I am uncertain how well she will do with cats but think she will do alright if they are introduced slowly. -- She loves kids and does great with them. She is generally a gentle dog with humans, but can get excited with new people. -- She has all updated vaccines and is microchipped. I have pet insurance for her as well.
