Tucker was adopted by my husband and I in June of this year 2024. We have a medium size husky/shar pei mix female dog. Tucker gets along well with her. He shows clear signs of previous abuse at the hands of an adult male and even after months still struggles warming up to my husband. I was diagnosed with a debilitating disability several months ago making it very difficult to get around making it hard to care for Tucker's needs. He has a sensitive stomach and I tried cooking chicken and rice for him but I found it too difficult to continue to do this daily so he is having to eat dry food reluctantly now. He is very stubborn but is also such a sweet boy. We were able to take him a few times to a dog park to get him socialized with only one minor incident with an intact male it stopped quickly to my command, otherwise he has done very well. I was told by the adoption agency that he does not do well with cats. I don't have cats so I can't confirm. I think he needs a home that can give him one on one love because he truly deserves it. He is seriously such a good boy, I just have too many physical disabilities to care for him.
