Courtesy Posting: ABSOLUTE EMERGENCY IN SO LA (SO CAL) - INJURED SWEET CHOW GIRL FOUND LYING DOWN AT A SCHOOL, NEEDS A FOSTER, RESCUE AND PLEDGES FOR MEDICAL CARE, BOTH PEOPLE & DOG FRIENDLY, SHELTER BOUND LIKELY TOMORROW (9/19/24). WHO CAN HELP HER? We were contacted by a good Samaritan who found an injured, but sweet and friendly female purebred chow lying down, unable to get up on her own. It appears she was hit by a car and it has been confirmed she has a fractured tibia and fibula on her hind leg. We are naming her Faith and she appears stable, but in pain and requires a belly band to walk at this time. The finder already posted signs in the area and on social medical but no owner ever came forward. The finder also took her to a vet after the shelter turned her way originally since they are so full. The vet put a cast on, but it has come off and Faith will need further medical care the finder's simply cannot afford. They also have 4 other dogs (she is good with), and that coupled with her medical needs and having to go to school and unable to watch or carry her as needed, they need to bring her to the shelter. Faith can be seen in video being pet and handled despite her pain, and has been good with the finder's male and female bully breeds according to them. The vet estimated she could be 8 - 10 years old. If you can possibly foster, pledge or rescue, please contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network asap who is trying to find a rescue, but rescues need fosters.
