About Brownie

BASIC FACTS Breed: MinPin/Chihuahua Color: Rusty Brown - very smooth skin, no shedding! Age: 7 yrs, but has energy of a 4-6 year Gender: MALE (neutered) Size: SMALL (Under 12 pounds) House-trained: Working on and improving to go outside Crate trained: no Good with Kids: unknown Good with Dogs: LOVES other dogs, not super big ones Good with Cats: uknown Concerns: none BIOGRAPHY Meet Brownie! Brownie came into rescue about 4 weeks ago when we were contacted by a shelter in Tennessee. Brownie was part of a neglect case and was found with 4 other dogs. Brownie had a severe eye injury and had to have one eye removed. He has healed completely from that and is loving life!! Brownie rides well in the car! In fact, he loves car rides! He sat on his foster mom's lap for the entire 2-hour ride home. BROWNIE loves PLAYING with other dogs, runs and chases, like a team sport. Brownie loves chasing squeaker toys too. Brownie has been 80% successful with house training, he will start circling near the back door to go out. There are times when he will mark, but I am using the belly band to help control this and he is doing less. Brownie loves cuddling under his blanket or in a dog bed, always near other dogs, or near me. Brownie has a very joyful disposition and is comical. He loves being in the yard. He can run VERY FAST and jump up on the bed and couch. Because he is a fast runner, foster mom has not let him off leash while walking. Brownie needs continued leash training. Prior to feeding, foster mom has trained him to sit, so he is a smart little boy who is eager to please. Brownie is a very good-natured dog. Brownie loves exploring everything. He loves soft, squeaky toys, of which he has a small collection, and his specially made blanket which will follow him to his new home. He is being transitioned from a Purina food to a Science diet food, his teeth are in EXCELLENT shape, white and no tartar! If you are looking for a fun dog who will give you plenty of joy and kisses, who likes cuddling next to you wherever you are, Brownie is your guy! Brownie responds well to 'no' and 'come' and his name too! Brownie needs another dog to play with for sure! (In his previous life, he was with 4 dogs.) BROWNIE is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He is being fostered in WHITE OAK, PA and is available for an adoption fee of $350.
