About Ivy

Ivy is a sweet, silly, cuddly, and affectionate 3-year-old girl. She walks nicely on a leash and would love a family with kids 14+ that likes to go on walks or hikes. She is a medium to high energy dog - she enjoys playing with other dogs and her people friends, but then she's happy to relax and sunbathe in the yard after to decompress. Her Boxer zoomies will make you laugh! She has been going to doggie day care multilpe times per week to help her socialize and learn appropriate play with other pups. Despite her rambunctious play with other large dogs, she is extremely gentle with puppies!! As most dogs, Ivy *loves* her food! So much so that she will sometimes get possessive and resource guard treats or food from other dogs or humans. She has been doing great at working on this with our trainers where it has been a non-issue as long as proper guidance and instruction is followed. Ivy is on a special low-fat diet and we recommend that adopters keep her on this upon adoption to ensure she's in tip-top health.
