About Caitlin

Caitlin is a 3.5-year-old sweet girl, weighing in at about 20lbs. She is shy, but coming around and wagging her tail more with each passing hour! We think that life on the streets has not been kind to her before coming to us at Thrive due to her flinching when being touched and needing slow introductions. She is doing fantastic in her foster home with a young couple, a large shepherd mix, and a cat! She loves sleeping on the bed or the couch. She forms an extremely deep emotional bond with her human, and will frequently find you in the home just to say hi and check on you and then go back to whatever comfy corner she's chosen to nap in. She's such a sensible girl, great on a leash and can't wait to have her very own person to bond with. She has this cute little pep in her step on walks and has a freckled tongue that she loves giving kisses with. She is friendly with other dogs but doesn't enjoy playing with them, and likes for her space to be respected. She can and will happily co-exist with others as long as they are well-mannered and not pushy. She needs an adopter who will be patient with her - there is an incredibly loving girl underneath once you're able to gain her trust and show her that you're a safe person.
