About Callie

Callie is a 70 lb spayed 8 month old female who has been on our 5 acre property with free roaming chickens and 2 young penned pigs that she adores. She has never wandered from our property. About 2 months ago she apparently injured her leg jumping down and X-rays at vet showed a growth plate injury which the vet said could take a few months to heal until she stops growing. He recommended restricting her activity as much as possible which is hard to do without keeping her penned. She limps a little but the injury has not slowed her down since she still wants to chase squirrels and play with her little pig friends. We are retired and have made the decision to look for property in Texas near our son and cannot take Callie with us as she gets anxious riding in a vehicle and also we will be staying in our RV. She is a beautiful dog and has had the best of care. She is currently on Nexguard flea and tick preventative and has been eating Science Diet dry food since she was 8 weeks old.
