About Mac

Mac, 4years old on July 11. He's pure Catahoula. Solid black with white blaze and golden brindle on legs. About 68lb lots of energy, can and needs to run for miles everyday. Very affectionate to his owners. Loves to lay on top of you, sleep with you, sensitive to your mood, if sick he will lay in bed with you all day. Territorial of bed, couch etc. High currency treats help. Okay with some dogs. We have four dogs and he gets along with three of them, fights on/off with another male he did not grow up around. He lunged at a child when he was laying on his owner - was 'protecting' his owner, the child was playfully hitting owner. He has not been aggressive without a reason or being set up unintentionally to be in that situation. We now have a one year old and he can not be trusted around the baby. We love him very much and are very sad to let him go, but safety of our baby takes priority at this point.
