I need to rehome the 6 month old Mastiff that I adopted a month ago. I adopted him from a shelter and he was listed as a French mastiff/hound. He is just too much for me to handle. I have been very consistent with training. He was housebroken when I got him and has done well. We take frequent potty outings and three walks a day. He isn't horrible on the leash and is starting to respond better to commands. He still reacts to dogs and people, but only excited not aggressive. We go to the dog park a few times a week and he does well with other dogs- even ones that are aggressive towards him. We see a lot of deer on our walls (I live next to a cemetery) and he now sits as soon as he sees them and doesn't react. Unfortunately, he seems to want to dominate me- nipping and barking. And has started peeing on my couch if I keep him from doing something he shouldn't. He also barks a lot- about nothing. I can be playing with him and he barks, making dinner and he barks, even if he has food water has been out, etc.I have raised pups before and I know barking and nipping are normal, but this is different. I have purchased all the food puzzle toys, nyla bone, stuffed animals etc that I can think of to help. I live in an upstairs duplex apartment and my neighbors are complaining to the landlord. He is neutered and vaccinated He needs a booster in 1 week for one vaccine. I really think he needs a bigger place to run and a job to do. I am looking to re-home him. Small fee. XL Dog crate, harness, leashes and all the toys and things I have purchased go with him. Help!
