About Ruby

Ruby, a nearly 4-year-old mini golden doodle, is a delightful auburn-colored pup weighing around 30lbs. This sweet girl craves attention and is excellent with children of all ages as well as loving and friendly with adults. Ruby is well-trained, signaling when she needs to go outside and alerting you to visitors at the door. While she may jump up for attention, she responds well to being asked not to. Ruby understands commands like 'place,' returning to her bed for treats, and comes, sits, stays, and lays down on command. Currently residing in a home with a 9-year-old daughter and another smaller dog, Ruby gets along well with other animals but asserts herself as the alpha. She can become snarky and slightly aggressive during playtime if things get out of hand. Ruby's playful side emerges when she spots squirrels in the yard, eagerly giving chase. When not engaged in play or mealtime, Ruby enjoys lounging around and attempting to sneak onto the couch for a cozy nap. Although Ruby is hypoallergenic, the allergens she brings in from the outdoors can be a challenge for those with sensitivities. Due to a change in family dynamics and a demanding work schedule involving overnight travel and long hours away from home, the owner is unable to provide Ruby with the attention and care she deserves. While Ruby requires regular grooming, she is cooperative during the process. The owner regrets having to part with Ruby but hopes to find a new home where she will receive the love and care she deserves. The cost of dog care is no longer feasible, leading to this difficult decision. The person that gifted Ruby to the family is unable to take her due to accommodation restrictions. If you can offer Ruby the time and attention she needs, you will be rewarded with a wonderful companion. Please note that Ruby was not a mutual decision within the household, and the changing circumstances have made it challenging to keep her.
