PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. 10-year-old male Chihuahua, about 15 pounds. Hugh is a sweet senior who just wants to see what's up over there! He was saved from the shelter euthanasia list at the very last minute, and we are so glad we did! What a sweetheart of a dog! Hugh is very friendly and would do great in a home with a dog or dogs as he's eager to make friends. Although, he could also be an ideal lap dog if he were solo. Hugh is neutral to cats, and he has been easy! Easy to clean his ears, clip nails, etc. He has had a complete dental with extractions, so he's ready to go for another year! Hugh is a bit clumsy! It is age related, as a dog of his years tends to have vision and hearing issues! But although he is up there in years, it does not slow him down! He loves going on walks and his favorite hobby is sniffing! ....and walking .....and sniffing... So don't try and get anywhere fast! But you better like to walk! oh and sniff! He's a sweetheart with a very charming personality and everyone who meets him is smitten! To request an adoption application, email [email protected] Adoption contract and fee applies. Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
