About Basil

Basil is an intelligent, happy-go-lucky dog who is curious about the world around him. He has bursty stamina and is always happy to go exploring out in the world. He excels in consistent environments and will mirror the energy that you put into him. He has an innate sense of bodily autonomy and does not like to be grabbed or restricted, and it's important not to force him physically as it will likely break his trust. He is not always cuddly, but he will make it very obvious if he wants attention. Basil has very good house manner, rides well in the car, knows all basic commends, walk nicely on leash and is not reactive to dogs/people/cars/bikes. He has ow prey drive, so will not hurt or chase small animals in general. Due to his high arousal and impulsivity, he does need someone who has experience and can provide continuous training and socialization for him.
