About Titus

LOCATION: Granbury, TX DOB: 06/06/2018 Meet Titus, a playful senior with a love for balls and stuffed animals. He's gentle, never guarding his food, treats, or toys, and takes treats from his foster family with delicate care. Titus can be a bit selective with traditional treats, but popcorn is his absolute favorite snack, enjoyed weekly. He's friendly with cats, even those that might try to test his patience. When a cat dashes through the room, Titus's excitement seems to stem from a curious 'what's going on?' reaction rather than aggression. Titus's experience with children is limited but noteworthy. At a pet store, he appeared uneasy seeing a child run by, though it's likely the overall environment was overwhelming for him. Exploring his comfort with kids more thoroughly is recommended. In terms of health, Titus is in remarkable condition for his age. He moves without noticeable pain and enjoys outdoor baths, although indoor bathing is yet to be tested. He prefers to stay off the furniture and has developed a newfound love for dog beds, which he now adores. Titus follows most commands, sometimes with a bit of hesitation, and walks better on a no-pull harness than a collar and leash due to mild discomfort when something is put over his head. This sensitivity has improved over time, and he tolerates a muzzle for safety during new experiences, despite only one non-aggressive bite incident at the vet's office. Upon arriving at his foster home, Titus was initially grumbly, but patience and gentle pacing have revealed a playful spirit. He now grumbles mostly when he's playing, head down, butt in the air, and toy in his mouth. Titus is ready for a forever home that can offer him the love and care he deserves.
