About Merlin

Meet Merlin, a very sweet, 7 year old red merle Miniature Australian Shepherd who loves to be with his person and will follow you everywhere. Merlin is a bit on the bigger side weighing in at 40 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. His perfect person would be someone that has aussie experience and that can establish being the alpha. Merlin is good with kids though older children would be best. Merlin is good with other dogs with proper introductions, but would prefer to be an only dog. He loves to play ball, but isn't ball crazy, loves belly rubs, and being brushed. He sometimes will get possessive over his bones, and will counter surf if there is something yummy up there. He is crate trained and does ok with it, but definitely prefers to be with his humans. He can be left alone in the house, and he is fine. Needs some leash manners, but he is very food motivated and learns quickly. Merlin is easy to have around and is not high drive, unless there's a squirrel. Merlin is being fostered in Portland, OR.
