About Boo

Boo is a 6 year old Catahoula mutt who is a sweet, sweet boy. We adopted him when he was 6 months old from a shelter in Boulder, Colorado. He's a big guy - nearly 110 pounds and great with people. He's especially great with kids as he has been with us since our kids were really little. He's housebroken, super healthy, very polite manners in the home. He gets along well with our other dogs and even our cat. He will alert bark if strangers approach the house but isn't a barky or loud guy. Boo is a scent hound so he absolutely needs a fully fenced yard as he will bolt. While he always comes back, once on a scent trail his recall is close to zero. We have moved to a residential school where there are a lot of off leash dogs. This is where Boo struggles. He can act aggressively while out on walks on a leash. He will pull, snarl and his hackles go up. �%A0Sometimes it's short lived but he can certainly get into it with other alpha/aggressive dogs. While this has really improved with us working with him we have to many people in and out of our home and yard to feel like he's ever truly secure. Boo is blue mural with long legs and tail.
