About Alfie

Adorable, sweet 11 week old puppy that needs a loving home. Mom is an Australian cattle dog (blue heeler) and dad is an Australian Shepherd mix. I picked up his brother from someone who had an accidental litter and then went back to foster this little guy on 8/31 as I felt he needed additional care. He's picked up on potty training with some occasional pee accidents if I wait too long and he also seems to use puppy pads. I just ordered a doggy door so we'll be working on that as well. He's learned basic commands such as sit and come and we're working on the commands stay and down. He's incredibly smart and is food-motivated so picks up on training quickly. At night he does well in a play pen with his crate in it. He's very playful, outgoing, and loves to be by your side. He has a lot of energy (more than his bro) so he would be best suited to someone that can keep him active and stimulated. Great with kids but he is teething and will nibble on feet/hands and likes to jump. Loves play sessions with his bro and long naps afterward. Received dewormer, first vaccine and a flea/tick/heartworm prevention pill (Simparicia Trio). Not yet neutered. Weighs ~9 lbs and I anticipate he will be a medium-sized dog around 40 lbs. His mom looked pretty small around 30 lbs. He will come with a crate if desired, some puppy food and a bed. Located in Murrieta.
