Soprani came to us from Yuma very emaciated and in poor condition. She is amazingly resilient and has gained weight and gotten much healthier and stronger just in the short time she has been in rescue. She does still have some hind end weakness believed to be the result of a trauma (possibly hit by car) but she gets around well in her own way. She LOVES her outside time and playing and running with the other dogs and being part of a pack. She would do best with at least 1-2 other dogs in the home to help her gain confidence and to be friends. She is timid with new people but does warm up in just a few days but does seem like a dog who has been abused because she behaves like she expects to be hit and backs off from any loud voices. She is doing well with the potty routine when she has regular opportunities to get out. We think she is a chiweenie (looong body) and 9-10lbs now but still has a bit of weight to gain and was estimated by the shelter around 7 years but our vet felt she is likely at least a couple of years younger (4-5). This sweet girl deserves the very best forever home that will cherish and show her a life of kindness and TLC.
