Mae is a sweet girl that we rescued at 5 months old after she was surrendered to the shelter by her first owner. We presume that she was never taken out to meet new people or dogs while she was with her first owners, because she came to us very shy and unsure of everything new. Mae has come a VERY long way in the past two years while living with us. She is now much braver and more comfortable, but still needs an owner who will be patient and understanding of the time it takes her to warm up in a new environment. She is a quick learner, knows her basic commands very well, is crate trained, and walks nicely by your side on a loose leash. She loves car rides, chasing the hose in the back yard, and snuggling on the couch. She loves our other dog, and would do best in a home with another pup. We are looking for a new home for Mae because she is still very scared of loud noises. We are expecting our first baby soon, and unfortunately don't feel she'll thrive in a house with young kids. With her adoption we can provide her crate, blanket, collar, leash, bowls, and remaining Heartworm medicine.
