About Archie

Acquired from a home that was not a good fit for a cattle dog. Since being in my home it's observed he is undersocialized but learning quickly. Previous home had never taken him from the property except for vet visits- rejoined due to issues with other dogs in home. QBarks at new people, has some guarding behavior with crate, various other items. Enjoys crate time and plays modified fetch. Learning more social skills from my pack, but seems stressed by the amount of dogs I have and may benefit from only one additional well socialized, patient dog for close companionship, or someone committed to having one dog for the duration of his life. Will make an excellent, sweet pet in the right home. Older children recommended (7+) Strong, experienced dog owner recommended. May not be suitable for working household, however learns quickly and is alert and intelligent. Does seem to exhibit some prey drive on my 2 acre property and will chase/kill lizards, rabbits, rodents, etc.
