About Moxie

Moxie is a terrific dog: loving, fun, loyal, and full of energy! I love him, but at 73 I live a much more subdued life. Moxie needs a loving forever home with lots of energy. Moxie was found on the side of road so weak he couldn't stand, but some good food and water took care of that. He had dermatitis which was easy to cure and he has a full body of hair. Moxie is about 2 years old according to the vet. He was thoroughly examined and treated by my veterinarian and is very healthy. Moxie has ALL his shots, is worm free, tick and flea free, and no heartworm. Moxie will be neutered September 13 and, after a couple of days for healing, ready for his new home. Moxie is a mix, possibly some Mountain Cur. He has a lanky body and a laid back lopping gait but can also run. He is housebroken, knows the command 'sit' and is eager to please. He could easily be trained for agility or flyball, or be a companion runner or walker, lope along with a bike. He is not a barker although he does provide an early warning signal. He is great with my dog Beau and loves children, but he is a strong dog so caution around little ones. He has shown NO aggression towards people or other animals, except towards chipmunks. He has his own collar, lead, and food bowl and I'll provide some food to help make the transition. I absolutely love this pup but he needs a more energetic home than I can provide. Normally I wouldn't charge a fee, but the vet bills were expensive and this will cover about 1/4 of the cost.
