About Huckleberry

Meet Huckleberry! Huck is a 5-year-old male Cowboy Corgi (Corgi x Heeler blend) looking for a forever home where he can work hard, play hard, and snuggle hard with his humans. He LOVES to ride in the car, take long walks, and play tug! He especially loves to accompany you while you 'work' and would love to spend time adventuring in a big, fenced yard or on acreage. Huck is a short and stocky guy, weighing in at ~35 pounds. He is vocal and will whine/bark for attention or if he sees somebody through the window or at the door. He is well trained on his leash, could use some work on his off leash training but has practice; knows sit, down, place, heel, and paw; and is kennel trained. Huck is an eager to please guy that is very food motivated. Though he is active, he will also gladly snuggle on the couch or spoon in the bed with you. His favorite place to be is wherever his people are. Huck has struggled with big dogs and tiny children in his previous homes. He is being rehomed (through no fault of his own) due to some reactivity to the other dog in his current home. He has gotten along with small dogs previously. ***However, his current home wants to be clear that a place where he can be the only dog is ideal.*** Huck prefers to have his people all to himself and will thrive without the stress of another dog. He is NOT cat/chicken/tiny children friendly. He is up to date on all his vaccines as of September and very healthy. He is microchipped and neutered as well. He has some minor allergies and licks his paws, though it hasn't been much of an issue except around the springtime.
