About Coco

Coco recently came to us from the Maricopa County shelter. She's small for an Akita, 65 pounds, but she may still be growing. We don't know her exact age, but her teeth are puppy white and she's very playful and friendly with everyone she meets. She seems to have plenty of energy, but behaves well on leash and on car rides. She's not reactive to other dogs, but will chase small things like cats and rabbits. Coco knows all the basic things, sit, shake and down, she's curious about everything and seems to be very smart. The shelter she came from was very noisy and stressful, but she seems to be adapting to her quieter environment pretty well. She got a bath a couple days ago and is shedding some old under coat.
