Despite her rugged appearance, her coat is a delightful surprise, feeling velvety to the touch. Gladys has a natural talent for making connections, easily befriending strangers with her endearing antics. However, she can be a bit selective when it comes to her canine companions, preferring to choose her furry friends wisely. Coming to the shelter as a stray means we don't have a detailed history for Gladys, but what we do know is that her curious nature makes her the ultimate 'nosey neighbor.' She loves to observe and stay informed about all the happenings around her, bringing a lively spirit to her surroundings. Though she's generally well-behaved, Gladys can occasionally feel overwhelmed by too much activity, so she thrives in a calm, loving environment where she can truly relax. This sweet girl craves attention and affection, eagerly responding to kindness with her gentle demeanor. When out on walks, Gladys displays excellent leash manners, making her a joy to take on adventures. She's also very gentle when accepting treats, proving she has a loving soul. Thank you for looking at dogs from the Guernsey County Dog Warden Dept. We are a county run facility in Cambridge, OH, we are NOT a no kill shelter! Unfortunately, we must euthanize due to illness or aggression. Adoption fees are $165 for dogs under 5 years old, $100 for dogs over 5 years old and $200 for cell dogs. Adoption fees include, Vaccine (DHPP), Bordetella, Microchip, Heartworm and Lyme testing, Rabies vaccine, Spay/Neuter and a dog license. Dogs will be required to be spayed/neutered before leaving shelter, if not an appointment will be scheduled before leaving the shelter. Please talk to shelter staff for more information. We only accept cash. We cannot take checks, debit or credit cards. You may also call the shelter: Office hours are Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5pm.
