About Finley

Please read his entire bio -- no kids! Say hi to Finley! This little guy packs a lot of personality into a small package. Finley is 3 years old and currently around 20lbs. He's a happy, active and loveable Aussie mix that's ready for his forever home. Finley doesn't know his size and he loves to play with other dogs and is good with cats!! He is learning basic obedience from his foster dad, but like any intelligent Aussie, he will benefit from additional training. Finley came to ARMA through a shelter partner. He was an owner turn in due to the family relocating. At the shelter, his outgoing personality made him a staff favorite. We discovered Finley does not like it when strangers reach for his head or collar. However, once he bonds with someone this isn't a problem. He loves being petted and likes to snuggle! Finely will do best with an experienced dog owner in a home without children. If children do VISIT he will need to be crated or otherwise confined so as to avoid any issues or misunderstandings. On the positive side, Finley loves to sleep at your feet while you work and enjoys being close. He attaches strongly and is a medium to high Velcro Aussie. The ideal home for Finley is an active adult home that's willing to show Finley patience, work on his head and collar sensitivity and engage in lots of fun dog activities from hiking to dog sports!
