Meet Norma: Your Energetic and Brave Best Friend! Hi, I'm Norma! I'm a 9- to 10-week-old mixed breed, likely part Labrador and Beagle, from Arkansas. I was rescued with my mom and four siblings when I was just 1 week old, and now I'm about 8.5 pounds of pure energy and love. Even though I'm a mixed breed, I'm my mommy's twin-I look just like a white Lab with a freckled nose. I love to play and wrestle with my siblings, especially my sister Marilyn. We're inseparable, always looking for each other to cuddle and fall asleep together. We're best friends! I've got tons of energy and am always ready to run and play. I'm the brave one in the family, always the first to explore new surroundings and take on new adventures. I also love following commands from my humans and will stay perfectly still for a photo op-say cheese! I have a big appetite and eagerly look forward to every meal. I'm already crate-trained and working hard on potty training. So far, I'm doing great with my puppy pads. I love kids, get along well with other pets, and I'm a pro at giving kisses! If you're looking for a playful, adventurous pup who's also sweet and affectionate, I'm your girl. I can't wait to find a forever home where I can share all my love and explore the world with you! Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 14 days of a veterinarian deeming the dog or puppy is ready to be altered. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies. Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. An application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee adoption but does allow us to begin the review process. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed. Safe Haven Dog Rescue reserves the right to refuse adoption of any dog or puppy to any applicant (adopter) for any reason.
