About Fig

Adoption Fee: $100
Australian Shepherd / Border Collie
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

URGENT Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Boone, NC Fig is an 1 year old Australian Shepherd/Miniature American Shepherd/Husky/Border Collie mix and weighs 50 lbs. He is neutered and up to date on shots, but isn't on heartworm prevention. Fig is nervous around strangers! He is good with kids, cats (as long as they don't run away from him), and dogs! He is housebroken and crate/trained. Fig bit a visitor in their home the day after his foot surgery. This occurred when a visiting child was making food in their kitchen and Fig jumped up, putting pressure on his injured foot. She pushed him off the counter and he froze before he bit her. He is currently on Prozac. He has some leash reactivity towards cars and other dogs. The owner is surrendering him because of his fear aggression and they have children. They have worked with a behavioral trainer who said he would do well in a less chaotic home. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Fig, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $100 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Fig. Owner's Contact Information: Byrony at [email protected]. Note: FIG WILL NEED TIME TO DECOMPRESS IN HIS NEW HOME. HE WILL NEED TIME BEFORE MEETING PEOPLE IN OR OUT OF THE HOME. HE WILL NEED SLOW INTRODUCTIONS. HE REQUIRES PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING FROM HIS HUMANS PLEASE.
