About Moose

Mastiff / Pit Bull
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Moose was picked up by Animal Control Officers on 6/28/24 after reports of a dog in distress near the Long Beach Community Resource Center. When Moose arrived to the shelter he had a large mass between his neck & shoulders about the size of a chihuahua. When a rescue plea to find help for Moose remained unanswered, some brave & caring individuals with the shelter's medical department decided to #RollUpTheirSleeves and help Moose lose a few unwanted pounds by removing his #NotreDame hunch. While the surgery was mostly successful, irritation around the surgical location caused another alarm to go off when the mass looked even bigger than it did originally Thankfully, it was all fluid & a quick oil change around Moose's neckline got him back in shape. Nevertheless, Moose has been through a lot and definitely has the scar(s) to prove it... yet after all he's been through in such a short time that goofy grin remains ٪ This coming Wednesday when the shelter reopens will mark 2 MONTHS AT THE SHELTER for Moose & he needs everyone's continued to support to get him out of #DoggyJail & into a home ASAP!
