Cowboy is a sweetheart baby Heeler. He's friendly and playful and loves to be held and cuddled. He knows 'sit' and 'stay' and is pee pad trained (as he's not able to go on walks yet due to not being fully vaccinated.) Cowboy has medium energy; he is happy to run around for however long you want to, but can also turn it off and nap all day at his foster's feet while she's working.%A0 He is not a huge fan of being crated when left alone, but he isn't destructive and eventually settles down. He will actually nap in it with the door open during the day sometimes. Cowboy has mastered going down stairs but is still learning how to go upstairs on his own. His favorite toys are the cat's toys he's being fostered with, but also loves tennis balls. He has been exposed to horses and is totally non-reactive to cats, but will try to herd his foster brother cat and his foster mom sometimes. Cowboy's adopter should understand that he is a working breed, and they should be cognizant of redirecting him so he doesn't get nippy. Cowboy is VERY food motivated and is smart, so his adopter will have a chance to train him from the start.
