About Lobo

Lobo is a sweet and protective dog, he has been at the same home since he was 8 weeks old. He has never liked men, it took him a while to be close to men in the his life. He is good with older children but younger kids make him nervous. He is good around storms but is very afraid of fireworks. Generally he would take trazodone for these occasions and likes to be bundled up with someone. He loves to be out in nature but not in large crowds, he tends to pull on the leash out of excitement at the beginning of a walk or adventure put mellows out within a few minutes. He loves his chest and belly rubbed, not so much his paws. He has never bitten anyone or attacked anyone. He has played with dogs of other sizes, as big as a pit bull and to as small as a chihuahua. His closest friend was a 15 year old chihuahua who unfortunately passed 2 months ago. Lobo likes routine, he is house trained and food motivated. He loves chicken in any form, but will eat any treats. He gives most of his love to one person once he has chosen who that would be, he is a sweet heart. I am no longer able to care for him, I am moving on such a short notice for school and am unable to take Lobo with me. I will not have the resources or time to provide him with the full care and love that he deserves. I am going to have temporary residence and do not have a definite or secure place for him at the moment. Lobo is stand off-ish around bigger or male dogs. Most if not all of the people around me have pets that are bigger than him or males, he is unfortunately not able to go with them.I do not know if he will be okay with cats because he has never been around them due to my personal severe allergies. I hope that he can go to a small family that can keep him happily in his last years.
