Hello, My name is Brenden Leary, a 34-year-old resident of Scottsdale, Arizona. I'm reaching out because I need to find a new home for my 7-year-old male German Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix. Unfortunately, due to recent medical challenges-I'm a brain tumor survivor-and a necessary move from a house to an apartment, I've found myself in a situation where I can no longer provide the space and environment he needs. He's a smart and loyal dog, and he is up-to-date on all vaccinations and is neutered. However, he does have some challenges, including anxiety and occasional territorial behavior. He tends to be scared of household noises like the washing machine or gas stove, and he may bark at strangers outside the windows. He has bitten me a few times during disciplinary moments and can be territorial with other pets, but I believe that with the right family, who has the space and time to dedicate to him, he will thrive. I've had him since he was a newborn puppy, and putting him down is something I absolutely cannot bring myself to do. I want to do right by him and find a family that can give him the love and environment he deserves.
