The previous owner tossed hot dogs into a mix of 5 dogs including Bella here. The others were 2 labradoodles, and old husky/shep mix and a mini Aussie. Bella wanted the aussies hot dog and attacked her leaving a lot of damage and needing stitches. The owner was not wanting to deal with her behavior anymore and was goin on vaca and scheduled to have Bella destroyed before he left. I was contacted and asked to help out. I met the big beautiful beast and fell in love with her. I've learned the dog was crate kept more than out of it. And this poor girl was never socialized outside her home, ever, just vet visits. She loved the car ride and did great until we got home and she saw one of my cats, one of my smaller dogs and even my Nigerian dwarf goats, and she wanted to give chase or attack them. I cannot keep her on my hobby farm in fear of killing my other rescues already living here. She has gotten along with my neutered Akbash and now seems to care less about the dogs here as she first did. She is a very fine example of the breed requirements and also an example on just how necessary warly aocialization is. I feel like she has somehow been damaged by the previous clueless owner but would be a fantastic only pet For a family or an individual. She has quickly decided I'm her people and will try her bestest to please me!! She is very protective of me, right out the car! She does mind very well, it's just she now has a reactive button that can go off anytime and I must keep all my critters safe here. I can't bring myself to have her destroyed, she truly is a great dog and maybe someone could snap her out of her bad reactiveness ?? Please help me find her her soft spot to land! Please she is 1.5 yrs old and not finished growing.
