About Dixie

Meet Dixie, Dixie was part of a very severe animal cruelty case. She was one of two dogs starved and left on the property to parish. The owner treated them very poorly and animal control seized them and placed them into rescue. Dixie, despite her ordeal, remains friendly and trusting of people! She is gained all her weight back, and then some, and is otherwise very healthy given what she has been through. She does great with her foster sister who is another dog her size. Dixie is petite and weighs around 30-40 pounds! She will make a wonderful companion for a family that has land and other dogs for her to interact with!
